Kamesh Welding Special Design Welding Positioners are engineered and manufactured according to the size, weight and welding process of the workpiece when standard positioners are not sufficient. The aim is to bring the workpiece into the best welding position, shorten welding time and achieve the same quality on every part.
Some of the special positioner applications we build:
- Compact positioners with chuck and rotary table: Small and medium-sized round parts are clamped to the table with a chuck; while the part rotates, the circumferential weld is made automatically with a fixed MIG/MAG torch.
- Vertical positioners with upper tailstock: Parts such as shafts, flanges and automotive spare parts are held by a chuck from below and a tailstock from above, rotated around their own axis and welded in series.
- Hydraulic tilting fixture positioners: Chassis, bodies and large welding fixtures are tilted to the required angle by hydraulic cylinders, so the operator reaches the weld seams from the most suitable angle.
The drive system (gear motor or hydraulic), clamping elements, control type and capacity are defined by evaluating the customer's part and production volume. The positioners can be used stand-alone or designed to work together with a welding torch, column & boom or robotic welding systems.
For a positioner tailored to your production, contact us with a drawing or photo of your part; our engineering team will propose the right solution.
